Intermediate and Senior System Engineers
Nova Networks is one of Canada's largest providers of IT products and professional services. We are
currently seeking Intermediate and Senior System Engineers for full-time permanent positions in the
Ottawa area.
The ideal candidates will have an MCSE (2003) and have 3+ years building, configuring, managing and
administering Windows Server 2003 in an enterprise environment. Advanced knowledge of Active Directory
and Exchange 2003 skills are highly desirable as is experience with SharePoint, Cisco, or other key
technologies.
Desired Skills
- 5+ years in an IT postion with minimum 3+ years managing Windows Server 2003 environments
- Advanced knowledge of Active Directory and DNS
- Exchange 2003 skills
- Experience in other Microsoft technologies such as SharePoint, SQL, SMS, MOM, etc. would be a bonus
- Experience supporting various desktop operating systems (XP/Vista)
- MCSE (2003) preferred
- Good knowledge of networking and Cisco devices
- Recent VMWare experience or VCP certification a definite asset
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting ability
- Excellent verbal and written communication and documentation skills
- Ability to effectively function as a team player in addition to juggling multiple
responsibilities with competing priorities
